Lately..

Just a little update..

Here's an article that was published in NiteGuide Magazinehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif . Click for website.. It was so much fun, I will say. It was super exciting. Mostly because I had been wanting to be in that magazine for quite some time. It was not a paid job, nor even a " Modeling" job, but just a feature. Everything adds up, and I was persistent in pursuing them. :) It paid off. I love the article, and the opportunity.

Acting Update..
So in Early October I had an audition for Cougar Town. The ABC hit show staring Courtney Cox.

and a few others...
the audition was during such a busy week ( as important ones always are). The thought of skipping it just to avoid the stress of traffic definitely crossed my mind. But I went, I made the commitment,I wanted to keep it. I went to an audition that I sat in traffic for 5 hours for, stood in my bikini ( when I didn't feel I was "bikini ready" in front of the casting directors, said my three lines, for a job I thought was way out of the possibility of getting...( one that most likely conflicted with my trip back to Illinois Anyhow..) But I wasn't going to get it anyhow. I was really going to appease my agent, stick to my commitments, and just GO.

TRUTH- you can't get ANY jobs, if you don't go to auditions....

I of course, received a call, two days before I was due to fly out, to be a part of my childhood best friends wonderful week of wedding festivities. My agent wanted me to stay in CA to potentially shoot for the show the 10th, and 11th of October. Smack dab in the middle of when I was suppose to be home making sure the beautiful bride was happy, and her day went as planned. The thought of changing my flight and not flying to IL crossed my mind, but they couldn't guarantee me that it shot those days, or that I even had the job!!! I sobbed, alot. My husband listened to me sob, alot. I was already stressed with working up until the point of flying out, literally, and my husband missing school and work, and my poor friend, whoms week it was all about, not me, and my potential job adventures.

What to do?
I prayed. alot. and I prayed more. I called my mom and dad and had them pray. I text my aunts to pray. I prayed some more.

My agent still hadn't got back to me literally up until I was packing my bags. They were waiting on production.

But during my run, ( I usually run when Im stressed out, upset, whatever)...
I was anxiously waiting for the call from my agent. Was I changing my flight or not? Was my husband missing lots of work and school or not? Was I going to crush my girlfriend who was relying on me or not? Was I about to pay nearly $3,000 to change my flight or not? Was I to register for a car to pick us up and take us to the airport, or not? I was all over the place...

However, this song for whatever reason, on my little MP3 player, ( I assure you its a little old fashioned thing) kept playing a song over and over again.

I swear, over and over again. It was so weird. But cliche.. " it spoke to me".. I left the gym ( this hadn't heard from my agent.) Called the bride to be, and my husband and told them both I was going to Illinois, I was going to be there for my friend, and if I miss it. I miss it... There is more jobs, more opportunities, and I know God will take care of me.

As I called the Bride to be, sweaty, driving away from the Gym, with the Lyrics of that song in my head, she answered, just as my agent called in. I hung up with her, and listened to the voice of my agent tell me that production on " Cougar Town" was behind and they would not be shooting that scene until later. I still was unsure if I even had the job.

I was so relieved, not because of that call alone, but because I had reached a place of peace in my decision and everything fell into place. ( AND I STILL DON'T KNOW IF I EVEN HAVE THE JOB) All this stress for a MAYBE? Or a MAYBE NOT?

I went to Illinois.

It was wonderful. I enjoyed time with my beautiful bride to be. My mom, and husbands family, and my brothers and sister.

Made it to the bachelorette party.:)

.. and to the wedding..

Happy Ever After..

All that stress... ending perfectly.. Cougar town update.. to be CONTINUED!

New Favorites...

Just a new list of my FAVORITE things..
First of all I did a cleanse a month ago or so, FOR FREE due to a fitness challenge at Equinox in Newport, Ca. The challenge consisted of a free membership to Equinox, and the top ten people to attend the most classes in 21 days, got a free 3 days cleanse by RITUAL CLEANSE ( delivery included), and those that attended at least 15 in 21 days, got 50% off. The cleanse is pricey, so the challenge ( and gas driving there) was worth it, since I was a TOP TEN'R:).
Needless to say the cleanse is now a FAVORITE.

I felt similar to a drug addict in rehab probably feels like with my sugar and caffeine cravings, as I was sluggish, cranky, and swore that the chocolate covered honey combs my husband had in the cabinet were http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifwhispering sweet nothings to me.

By day 3, I felt great, I continued to feel great even days after. I kept my diet clean and mostly plant based to maximize my benefits of the cleanse:).
You can find more info here www.ritualcleanse.com

Following the cleanse ( week 3 COFFEE FREE:)) I slowly introduced caffeine back into my diet in a more natural, less addictive way, with Organic Green Tea. I started with decaf green, as that still has a minimal amount of caffeine, and progressed to my now favorite by Archer Farms ( Target) Organic Pure Green Tea. Delicious!:)

That isn't the exact package of green tea, but similar. It is just so good, and I couldn't get my personal photo to flip..

Next Fav thing.. JUSTINS NUT BUTTER

similar to nutella, who doesn't love nutella?

but it honestly is not waist line friendly, nor is it's ingredients pure, I am ALL about moderation, but why not have your cake and eat it too. I found an alternative called Justin's butter.:) I originally found it at a natural food expo a few years ago and have been hooked, but was online order only until NOW..... IT IS NOW AT TARGET.:)Thank you baby Jesus:)

I love the hazelnut as it is similar to nutella, chocolatey and deelliscious!
I buy the little individual packs, as they are safer in the Carnegie household.
If I had a large bottle, my food pyramid would consist of a spoon and Justin's nut butter until it was gone.:)

For more info on Justin's nut butter, click here -->
For you moms out there, or just those of you on the go, you can order the individuals for on the go snacks, or nut butters for lunches, etc. :)

Last but not least fav thing. is TURBOFIRE.

I ordered this maybe 10 months ago or so, as another fitness option at home. I'm a huge fan of Turbo Jam and Brazilian Butt lift, both produced by beach body ( production company behind P90x and Insanity). Love Love Love this product, could not say enough good things about Chalene Johnson, and her products, let alone the workout itself. It's so wonderful and PUSHES YOU, even at home. I LOVE IT. It came with SOOO many DVDS, so boredom is not an option. It keeps me from getting bored from other stuff, and I always feel like I have a great hard workout when I do it. WONDERFUL. You can do it ANYWHERE, hotel room when traveling, in your living room, bedroom, plug ihttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gift in the computer, and/or DVD player and go. whatever I LOVE IT.

You can read about it at beachbody.com, you can also order it on amazon, lots of the time much cheaper. ALSO for some extra motivation, check out her channel on youtube, some super great motivation videos:) On life, business and fitness:).
Check out some of her videos here,
for motivation and inspiration:) Hope your all have a fantastic Tuesday!:)

...Update..

So I know I haven't blogged in nearly a year..
.. Don't judge me:). I've mostly been keeping on top of the la boxing blog, which you can find here.
I really enjoy their workouts still, it's a little difficult getting there since we moved further, but I'll get there!!:)

Been trying to train, run again.I miss running( I always try to run at least once a week,do other forms of cardio the other days) But been running more, however, I do not miss the pain, the larger butt muscles that come with the training.
That would be ice in my pants...
hahah. I did however get new shoes ( hoping that would help with the hip muscles.) The guy told me I wear a 7.5 in a running shoe... WHAT?( Im 5.2 and wear a 5.5-6 in a heal) You be crazy. But they did feel better, I just looked similar to a clown jogging! Needless to say I am enjoying the experience and am appreciating the alone time of running to pray and just think. It's been nice.

I also got a deep tissue massage the other day ( loosen up my legs) I told the guy before I started that I really like it deep, and I always say that and they never do it deep enough! He got the picture..

bruises.. I'll take it. I will say I felt so much more relaxed and less tense afterwords! Love Massage Envy!!

Some favorites I have ran across lately,
" Fear is the thief of dreams"- unknown
We get so comfortable being, comfortable, but wants to live like that? Really?!

" Most people fail because they fail to understand what they are trying to do." -Lou Holtz
Isn't that the truth, you cant accomplish something if you don;t know what you are trying to accomplish, you can't achieve goals if you don't set any..Decide what it is you want to do in life, and do.it.:)

" Failure means that you have discovered one more way NOT to get something done. Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly at first!" I dare you to change, by Bill Cornelius.

Such a great book, it's actually where I got all these from. Yes, the book looks a little corny, but it got my attention and got me to buy it. So, so what if he looks like a backstreet boy, in a construction site, and is pointing at me in the book store. haha But it is a religious motivational book, which I loved the two combined!

Work has been good lately, did a hair show recently, and then a commercial shoot for curves..

It was great, I had worked the evening before, until 4am, so the day was a little long, I was a little zombie-like! It was fun tho and I'm glad I had the experience!

Feels good to be updating, I got up to run this am and my hip was giving out so I used the time I was suppose to running wisely I guess!:) Hope all is all!!
NOTHING GREAT WAS EVER ACHIEVED WITHOUT ENTHUSIASM
